Let us answer your cosmetic questions, all cosmetic consultations are free.

Today I want to talk about Microdermabrasion, my most effective and favorite procedure.
What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is one of the most highly desired treatments by clients. The microdermabrasion machine is made of a compressor and pump that mix gentle abrasion with suction to peel the outer skin layer (10-15 microns of skin, a layer so thin that you can't see it). The entire procedure, unlike dermabrasion or laser skin surgery, doesn't take more than 30-60 minutes. You can have it on the face, neck, chest, back, feet and hands.
Microdermabrasion can be performed anytime, with sessions at 10 days apart from each other for best results. You can expect to feel as if you have a mild sun burn or windburn. You skin will feel very dry and may peel. This is natural and is the purpose of the procedure. You should regularly apply a high quality moisturizer as well as a high protection sun block. Do not expose your face to sunlight for long periods of time, not even tanning beds. You should not use any exfoliating scrubs or lotions beforehand or afterwards for at least 3 days. Your skin will be smoother and the damage will be lessened. Although for serious damage a series (of 4 to 6 sessions) can be scheduled at 5 day intervals. It truly depends upon my determination of your skin condition.

Address those early signs of skin damage TODAY. Correct hyper pigmentation and accelerate the production of fresh cells and collagen.Microdermabrasion has been proven to be one of the most popular non-surgical medical procedures on the market today.

Psychological Aspects: Your Self-Image and Plastic Surgery

ASPS:  Improving your self-image with plastic surgery...

Each of us has a "self-image," a perception of how we believe we look to others. People who are happy with their self-image are more likely to be self-confident, effective in work and social situations, and comfortable in their relationships. Those who are dissatisfied tend to be self-conscious, inhibited, and less effective in activities.

Plastic surgery -- whether cosmetic or reconstructive -- encourages and promotes a strong, positive self-image. Even a small change on the outside can create an extraordinary change on the inside, allowing an individual's self-confidence to flourish.

Think about what you want, make and appointment for a consultation (usually free) and ask lots of questions.

Caution Urged as Patients Seek Deals on Cosmetic Surgery

ASPS Member Surgeons Offer Tips for Finding Quality Care.
For Immediate Release:

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Consumers looking to cut costs during the economic downturn cannot afford to cut corners on quality of care, warns the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). While it's one thing to temporarily substitute fillers for facelifts, ASPS says the worst thing patients can do is to put price before professional training. This concern was discussed recently at the ASPS annual scientific meeting in Chicago.

"The search for bottom-basement prices may impact safety, and patients should proceed carefully before putting their faces in the hands of just anyone," says John Canady, MD, ASPS President. "No one is more qualified than ASPS Member Surgeons to perform the full range of cosmetic medicine procedures, and patients can avoid costly mistakes by doing their homework."
